Snipsnap to WordPress

I plan to look at moving my snipsnap bliki to wordpress, i.e, here. This snip was originally placed on that site. I have transferred it for one reason because it contains xml tags which xslt has problems dealing with. This article consists of my notes made while designing a transfer mechanism.

Shell Scripting on Windows

I want to write bash scripts to be emulated using cygwin. This has a problem in that XP uses spaces in its file folder hierarchies and the environment variable initialisation process isn’t good enough. This is actually a snip on writing shell script using cygwin. The virtual boix commands are just the use case which led to me doing the research.

Using "boomy" icons with tcl/tk

I spent some time over the last few days trying to populate the TK images folder with a usable image library. The activestate version and the standard only permits the use of .gif images in the image manipulation commands. (Not true now, see the comments!) I might need to look at the tkImg package to use an alternative format.
